Dear comrades,
After more than 30 hours of information, reflection, imagination,
discussions, incantations and translocal connections around the themes
of earth and freedom, we are as tired as we are fulfilled. Thank you to
all the individuals, networks and collectives who contributed with
determination to making this radio event possible. A huge thank you to
Radio Alhara and all the radio stations that relayed the programme
despite the technical problems encountered this time. We regret not
having been able to listen to the contribution of our comrades from
Egyptian Diaspora Resists, who are leading a crucial struggle against
Egypt’s involvement in the ongoing genocide, nor to the songs shared
by the Palestinian Cultural Club of the Baddawi Refugee Camp in Tripoli
(Lebanon), which will no doubt be broadcasted on the next edition.
Before the next session, we're going to take some time to structure the
coordination internally, and move forward on a website to archive the
interventions and make them more accessible internationally. We'll no
doubt be calling on you to make progress on translations too :)
Finally, we propose a remote meeting on Sunday May 12, so that we can
collectively debrief on both content and more practical aspects, with
two slots so that all collectives and networks can connect despite the
time difference:
- One slot at 11am Bethlehem time
- And another at 6pm Bethlehem time
At this time of transnational student and trade union mobilizations,
we're going to start making sound recordings of occupations, and we also
invite you to pick up the echoes of mobilizations around you. We can
talk more about this at the May 12 meeting.
Freedom for Palestine, from the river to the sea, for the whole region
and for mama Earth beyond their colonial divisions, which will yield to
our aspirations and struggles for another world!
